Beloved Missionary Sisters & Brothers,
Many of us have been made aware of the recent devastation in Sierra Leone. Since the heavy rainfall that began on August 14th, the city has experienced fatal flooding which caused a partial hillside collapse and the triggering of massive mudslides that have engulfed much of the area. Hundreds remain homeless, some taking refuge in a school, where aid agencies attempt to aid with food and shelter.
Please join me in praying for Bishop and Supervisor McCloud as well as the entire 14th Episcopal District family. As Missionaries, we are called to strengthen our faith and sent to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ by service and witness in the world. Let us make our witness known to our brothers and sisters in Sierra Leone.
All monetary donations sent to the WMS office will be noted and sent to Bishop McCloud to assist with relief and recovery efforts. Thank you in advance for all you will help us to accomplish.
