Focus: The transition from the Millennium Development Goals to the Post 2015+ Sustainable Development Goals UN

agenda and how the transition effects and affects the WMS programing. At Rio+20 - the UN Conference on Sustainable Development - countries agreed to establish an intergovernmental process to develop a set of "action-oriented, concise and easy to communicate" sustainable development goals (SDGs) to help drive the implementation of sustainable development. The Rio+20 outcome document, The Future We Want (available on line), also calls for the goals to be coherent with the United Nations development agenda beyond 2015.

The Women’s Missionary Society has always been involved in efforts to foster positive and sustainable change in the lives of women and girls. Through local and global programming and initiatives we have always addressed issues that concern the family and family life; peace and justice, health and wellness; education, and matters related to human and civil rights. Come and catch the vision for global networking, and explore the 17 Cluster Goals of the Sustainable Development agenda.
